Trellis

My Tai Chi instructor, Meghan, is a crafty person and enjoys talking about crafts, any kind, with anyone. So naturally she was interested in my slightly unusual choice of craft and had an idea - Would (or could) I make a trellis for her climbing clematis? I was up for a new smithing project, and this looked challenging enough, so, of course, the answer was "YES" to both "would" and "could", even though the "could" part was yet to be discovered. 

Challenge #1 - This would be the tallest item I've ever made. She was looking for something about 6 - 6-1/2 ft. tall. I had to measure the ceilings in both my smithy and paint shop (the basement). I had enough height in the smithy for a 9-ft trellis, so no problem there. And my basement has over 8 ft. between the floor joists, so ... The project was on.
